We had a busy and fun December from town events to Santa and even a winter storm that cancelled school for multiple days!
Our first stop of the season was the HV Tree Lighting ceremony. There's always lots of people, many that we know, hot cocoa, Santa, and songs. This year we were lucky since it was actually chilly...I'm not a fan of warm holiday events!

| Forever friends being silly! |
We went to the annual holiday festival at our church for our yearly pony ride and tube sled down the snow and dinner from the food trucks!
Well the end of the first week until the beginning of the second week of the month we had ice and snow, although mostly ice, on the ground for 5 days. It was technically still fall and the first of multiple winter storms for the season!

| Super bright outside! |
So on the 2nd full day of the entire area doing nothing, we already had reservations for the Madagascar Brunch at The Gaylord. So we did what any good northerner would do and headed out! The boys always have so much fun seeing all the sights at the hotel, and we rounded out this years trip with seeing Santa while we were there!

Since Hayden was in Kindergarten this past year, it was Parker's turn to do all the holiday fun during the day on his own! We headed out on The Polar Express, and it was again polar like outside! The little ones had a fabulous time playing around and seeing Santa :-)

All the littles!
We try every year to also go the Grapevine Main Street holiday events and let the kids look at all the lights. It's always fun to get into the holiday spirit as much as possible and make lifelong memories and traditions! |
