Magic Kingdom: The Rides!!

Hayden still loved to do the rides, and Parker REALLY loved all the rides he could do!  Next year Parker should be big enough to do a few more and maybe Hayden will want to do a few more of the intense rides, like Big Thunder Mountain :-)

Magic Kingdom: Around the Park

We did two days at the Magic Kingdom, you can't do it in less!  It was full of fun and lots to do, as always.  It never gets old or un-magical, no matter how many times you go!  Hayden did his best to meet some more characters and get more signatures for his book, and Parker thought the characters were great, as well!!

Various Disney Fun Times

We went to one of our usual hang outs for the summer last month, the wonderful Disney World and Orlando!  We did things a little different than usual....the usual is reserved for next year!!  We actually only went to the Magic Kingdom, spent time actually using the awesome pools Disney has, and also visiting Universal Studios this time.  

We stayed at The Animal Kingdom Lodge for the first time.  We had a room that overlooked the 'savannah', so there were literally animals right outside our windows throughout the day!  The kids really liked it and there was an area where you could go down and be level with the grassy area off the lobby.  The place it gigantic, so if you were not so lucky, like us, you had to trek it to get anywhere!  If you are familiar with the park, it is also crazy far from everything else, since the Animal Kingdom Park was built to far out on the property.  Would stay there again, for the ambiance factor, but not necessarily my first choice!  They did have a great pool area though!!

Hayden LOVES to play mini golf.  It is a must do activity anywhere we go now.  We left the babies at the room and played a round with Mimi, Bean, and Kevin!  There were two Christmas themed courses and he chose the summer vacation one.   He would have preferred to do both but we cut him off at one round this time!

 

This family has nothing to do with golf but they joined us for dinner one evening while at Downtown Disney!

Parker's Baptism

Last month we finally had Parker baptized.  Life got in the way when he was a baby...funny how that happens.  Lorelei was also baptized, so we made it easy on all the family!  He did very well, to everyone's surprise.  I think our only saving grace was that there was so much going on and so much to look at that he didn't notice what was going on!
