Gulf Shores...Everything Else!

We did do some other things while we were at the beach.  The dads went deep sea fishing one day ( I will try to add a pic soon), and the kiddos went to play mini golf (a requirement for all vacations if you are Hayden).

We went to The Hangout on our first full evening for dinner.  It was open air, right on the beach, and at the center of the main beach road in town.  There were lots of things to see and do!

Our Crew :-)
Nothing brings out dancing skills like a foam pit!!

We went to the Naval Air Museum at the Air Force Base in Pensacola on Sunday.  We had wanted to go but didn't think we could fit it it.  Originally we planned to go on a dolphin cruise but that was sadly cancelled due to weather.  It was really interesting and the kids really liked it.

Posing with some bombs...
and a gigantic tank auto weapon!

Do all pilots bring their paci's too??!!

Proof we were actually there!

Gulf Shores...The Beach!

We took our first trip on our own with the kids last month.  One our own means with our best family friends in town :-P  We drove the distance and spent three days enjoying the small beach town life!  The weather was unfortunately not great but we were able to get in plenty of beach time.  Hayden loved it until he got seawater in his eyes, and Parker loved every single minute of the water splashing him!

Parker: 18 Months

A lot has changed between 15 months and now (actually 19 months).  The biggest ones being that he is walking and starting to talk! He is still very busy but has started to enjoy quiet activities like reading and puzzles.  He still adores the cat, Hayden, and trying things by himself.  He didn't grow much over the past few months, so he has a goal of gaining by the time he is two!!

Stats: 24 lbs. 6 oz (30%), 32.5 in. (60%)

A few things from the past months:

* Says about 6-8 words regularly: mama, daddy, kitty, uh-oh, ball, bye bye, yay
* Matches colors to each other on toys
* Fits puzzles pieces in their slots
* New foods he likes: tomatoes, mango's, ice cream
* He has great comprehension of what he is being told even if he can't respond
* All teeth but his 2 year molars

And in pictures:

Fourth of July!!

Our 4th of July....a little bit late :-)

Best Pals!!
No day is complete without red, white, ans blue treats!

Ohana Breakfast

We decided to do a character breakfast at the last minute and were very pleased that the Polynesian offered great food and lots of character time with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch.  It was a family style Hawaiian themed feast, complete with a parade around the restaurant with maracas, and we got to see each character TWICE, which is not very common!

Lilo!!

Mickey!!
These maracas were eventually thrown and just barely skimmed a man at the table next to us...luckily all they noticed was how good his throw was for someone his size!  They recommended football for when he is older :-)
Stitch!

Pluto!
Parade time!!

There are no pictures of Lorelei with the characters because if there is one thing she does not like it is characters!  These pictures also made me decide that I needed a new really nice camera!!
