Way to Go TCU!

TCU had a fantastic weekend for football. The team continued their perfect season to push themselves to 10-0. Due to how great they have played this year, TCU and Fort Worth were so lucky and excited to host the ESPN College Gameday this past Saturday. Now if you don't follow college sports, this will mean nothing, but to those of us who love and support our schools all season, it was huge!!

Greg, Peter (my brother in law), and Peter's dad headed out early to catch the broadcasting festivities. It would have been great to see but someone had to watch the child :-) Apparently it was absolutely crazy and even the broadcasters commented on how rowdy and crowded it was. TCU is small comparatively to most big football universities, with only 8800 students total, so it was really great that it was so crowded.

You couldn't actually see the broadcasters for safety and security purposes...

So they were broadcast on the big screen. They put on the headpiece of the team they think is going to win the game...and he was right!

Hayden and I made it to Fort Worth later in the afternoon and headed over to Sabrina's in-laws house right across from campus. We had some snacks and let the kiddo's play a bit before we headed over to mingle with 50,000 of our closest friends!!

It would have been better if we had gotten a picture from one of the end zones to really display it was wall to wall people. The standing room only folks were 5-6 thick!

Now we just have to wait and see how the last two games go for TCU and the rest of the country. We could be spening New Year's weekend cheering on our team in a warm and sunny place!!

Two Year Old Pictures

We hit up our favorite picture place, Portrait Innovations, and did some two year old pictures and a few family shots for the holiday cards. Hayden already had school pictures, but whoever did them was not good with kids. They were not good, although they were funny! The photo session did not go as smoothly as they had in the past. Hayden was not big into posing, and every toy they pulled out to make him smile, of course he wanted to play with. On top of that, there was a Lego table, which was a big draw of distraction for him.

Halloween Weekend

What a fun several days we had! From what I could tell, Hayden really took to Halloween and all the fun it can be. We filled out days with cookies, pumpkin carving, a party, a fall festival, a football game, trick or treating, and candy eating! We weren't sure what to dress Hayden as, since all costumes come with some sort of hat, head piece, or hood. He doesn't like things on his head. We went with fancy pj's just to be on the safe side. They were his 'ones' (bones)!

Since it was TCU Homecoming weekend, the Friday night festivities were fall and Halloween themed. We met up with all my family and Sabrina and Emerson. It was a bit chilly and a lot of the activities were super crowded or a little over their heads. Since it was homecoming weekend, we were able to catch up with people we don't normally see. I was actually able to catch up with my old roommate who recently moved back in town, and coincidentally enough she has an almost 2 year old boy!

We didn't make it home to trick or treat until after 7:30 with the game being in the afternoon, so we did a quick change and headed out the door. It took a couple houses but Hayden quickly figured it out and was very excited about getting a treat and putting it in his bag. My mom has some cute pics of him putting things in his treat bag, so I'll have to add more later!

Hayden, and Brodie next door, spent a long time trading candy and picking pieces out of the big buckets for themselves.

Here Hayden is sorting his candy. I wasn't fast enough to get a picture the first time around where he had all the pink jolly ranchers, the green ones, the kit kats, and the suckers in their own piles. Only Hayden :-)

Had to add this in...he got some rain boots from Mimi, and they are his new favorite toy.
