We spent the last week of July/first of August on Colorado. We split our time between staying with our dear friends in Colorado Springs and a 4 day getaway to Keystone. It was a great break from the summer heat, and of course we got to see out friends!! The kids all had a great time together, and we tried to get in a few tourist trips :-)
We spent the first couple days catching up and relaxing with our friends. On our way out of town we did the Cog Railway up Pikes Peak. Greg and I have both done it when we were younger, and it is a definite must do! It was a little long for Parker but he slept on the ride back down the mountain ;-) It didn't snow while we were up there...it did once in July when I was younger!

| It was cold but not super cold! |

| Since the elevation is so high there is of course no plant life but lots of rocks are a great home for big horn sheep...he's there just look close! |
On our way back from the mountains we stopped to check out Garden of the Gods...another place we had gone to growing up that is a must see! The kids enjoyed climbing around, and it is just a neat sight to see.
